Fans And Nerds Dedicated to Our Media
FANDOM is a community of nerds and geeks dedicated to forming and nurturing a culture of acceptance and enthusiasm around both popular and more obscure media. Meetings are held weekly via Discord call from September to April every year. Every meeting has a different theme and activity ranging from trivia, screenings, discussions, topic presentations, and more!

FANDOM began life as a club at Bowling Green State University in Ohio as the Marauders. The Marauders evolved into FANDOM, and then the COVID nation attacked. FANDOM moved online and we found that we had greater reach to membership and felt that our community would be best served through the Discord server rather than as a physical organization on a single college campus. BGSU will always be our home, but at the end of the Spring 2021 semester, FANDOM decided to spread its wings and leave the nest, becoming an independent organization with the capacity to welcome members and leadership from students and non-students alike.

Membership eligibility is simple: members must be 16 years old and willing to be a part of a respectful, affirming community of nerds. There are no mandatory number of meetings to attend, no regulations about who is and isn't allowed in- we welcome everyone across every spectrum, and our rules center around keeping the space welcoming for everyone.
What It's All About
We ask all of our members to tell us what they're really into right now, what fandoms they follow, and what meeting themes would be interesting to them. This is a live tally, and we take those results and plan with them so that every meeting is catered to our membership.
